Man... Rust In Peace was what really got me playing seriously for a bit anyway. Everyone talks about Tornado of Souls solo which is great but there are others on that album that do more for me especially Marty's on Lucretia. At any rate the solos added a feel to them. Like they just added an atmosphere to it that they were just as important to the song. Hanger 18 solo was so exotic sounding that it sounded like it belonged in an alien lab, Holy Wars had a mix of middle eastern feel to tension and release. Like the rhythm would build up tension then the solos would sound shreddy but oddly relaxed until Dave's solo which built up tension until the end. Every song on that album added something. There are a few stop to finish perfect albums in my book and this one is definitely one.
Cowboys from Hell?? I remember cemetery gates and cowboys from hell. Vulgar Display on the otherhand is much better than Countdown to instinction.
I didn't really get into Pantera too much cause most of the people I hated in high school that didn't really like metal would listen to it. It's kinda the same reason as why Ola Englund doesn't like Iron Maiden.
