Crab Amps! Marcus and Orion arrived!

still looking like a lot of amp for the loot. Have not heard a verdict from @JerEvil either though. I've seen NAD's, but no reviews yet, just need more time?

The mark iv is hard to beat. that i will say.

The build qaulity is not quite up there with mesa as well.

But 750 usd with shipping and tubes. to denmark. thats a low price

No doubt, I had a Rev A I wish I never sold. You can maybe talk a guy down on a heavily used 6505 or DSL at that price around here, you're not sniffing a Mark IV.

What makes you say that ? Just curious. Looks well made enough to me. And most certainly easier to service than any Mesa I know about.

Doing my vid for the Satan tonight for sure. It fucks pretty hard actually. Really happy with it and ordered a 100 watt Marcus.

my only complaint so far is that the faceplate are thin and already bent the corner taking out the chassis form the head shell :(

Yeah they’re not built like a $3k amp that’s for sure. They’re also not garbage.

I’d say in the price-tone-build pyramid they’re punching above their weight class.

It’s a $660 Mark IIc+ that legit sounds like the thing and would likely stand up to gigging regularly just fine if your not throwing it around like an asshole.

They’re not using military-grade components but the stuff is about on par with most amp kits you’d buy. Definitely more than a fair build for what one is paying.

I’m curious if his Satan sounds better than the Randall. I’ve heard the fortin natas and Randall Satan sound nothing alike. I had the Randall and I was not impressed….

I’ll never be able to compare the Natas or an actual Satan unfortunately. No fucking way would I pay the cost of admission for either the Fortin or what the morons selling the Randalls are charging.

Best I could do is compare the Natas plugin and the Crab Satan through the same IR which would be about useless! Lol.

Did you try the 50 watt or big boy Satan? From what I understand, love him or hate him, Mike always used top notch components in his builds and I have to believe that alone is going to make the Natas and Satan sound notably different.

I am selling this Satan clone to Truck Driver Shawn and having a 100 watt version made. One thing is for sure. The amp recorded SOUNDS like the better clips and demos of the actual Satan that I’ve heard… so there’s that…

What were ballpark shipping costs? Anything weird with customs?

Edit: I saw someone mention Denmark. I automatically assume USA bad habit

Mine was the big boy Satan. But it just sounded… off. Distortion was weird. Girth and grind controls seemed way different than even the fortin natas plugin. Maybe I just got a lemon. Idk

He told me $660 shipped all in to the US for the 50 watt amps. Add about another $100 or so if you want 100 watts.
 
Man I have been looking..👀 the four channel one and those mark clones…😍
Would love to hear clips of the 2c+….or is it a III?
