Cranked up the Herbert today!

Finally got a cab to use temporarily (it isn't the best for the Herbert but gets the job done, and works amazing with CH 1 and CH 2....CH 3 it just works ok.) Anyways, this is my first time really playing it for more than a few minutes...and man ! I have never heard such huge tone in my life....CH 2 + is unbelievable..... so many tones in that one channel with both the +/- and the midcut. So much bottom end and delivers a huge The amp is so unbelievably dynamic, even with my cheapo POS guitar the volume know changes how the amp sound so much. I was dialing in tones from SRV to AC/DC to AIC to Mastodon. Plus, the Herbie is loud enough to piss of my hypocritical neighbors! I can only imagine when I get it hooked up with V30s and a new axe... All hail the Herbert!

Tell me it's horrible. Please. Absolute WORST sounding amp ever. The Marshall MG series KILLS it...

Ventura the Herbert sounds really really lifeless and dull when the tubes are not put in.. Also if you leave the standby on it seems to really not have much volume at all, same with the mute switch. Also for some reason when I turn all the gain knobs to 0 the tone goes away.

Otherwise it freaking ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!

Just eyeballing eBay and there's one for a decent price from Guitar-Attic, is this guy a schlep or does anyone know?? Seems to have decent feedback, but I dunno...

Anyway - I've got my Canadian distributor coming back to me with his best price. FACK!!!! I hate when this happens.

Yeah....I am surprised to bottom end holds up so well and the speakers really don't break up and I've been playing it loud! IT is a Marshall 1960BX, I bought it temporarily and can try it out for 30 days but I am really liking it. Like I said, I was supposed to pick a Diezel cab but the guy is always working and has kids so whenever he has some time off and i can make it i'll go check it out.

Nice clips, the playing is nice. both clips sound decent for being a computer mic, the first one is sweet!

by the way, just finished playing it again, for about two hours....and it still delivers! makes my playing better too!
