I would approach with caution anyone trying to “flip” mark amps currently. Well, really anything. But, Their value is crashing pretty hard right now and lots of stuff is sitting. If you’re doing it to play it, absolutely knock yourself out! But if you’re trying to make a buck the used gear market is taking a massive shit. There’s even a mark iii ++ that’s been sitting for a month for only 2k.

Agreed the market is slumping pretty hard. However, a III w/ 105pt is a rare bird.

According to Mike there were ~200 made with the leftover IIC+ transformers.

If someone bought it just to flip it, you may be in for a longer than anticipated ride.

If they bought it to appreciate it, congrats you scored a unique amp.
 
It was gone last night about 730 central time. I had a buddy in Kansas City who would pick it up for me. Buy the time I asked a question about the amp functions as it was in “fair condition”, it was gone. It is sometimes a relief not to get something; as it might have been too good to be true. Fuck it. Next item please

Seller reached back out to me… they didn’t test the amp. It was in storage for a “long time” so consider ourselves lucky as it was a crapshoot working amp. What if the repair work needed on this was xxx bucks. We just don’t know. For the guys who know how to fix these… great! BUT for people like me….🫤

Yeah, if I would have gotten it...it would have went straight to Mesa no doubt. But I would not have wanted to re-sell it ever so figuring that in...still would have came out ahead. Well unless something crazy like the trans are blown
