D'Addario Auto Lock Guitar Straps.

I have purchased two, I somehow keep unlocking them. Very annoying

Any tricks to get them to stop unlocking.
 
IDK about auto-locking, I have some that have a manual dial / lever that locks closed and won't move at all. Never had a problem, though the nylon strap is slippery if you have a neck heavy guitar
 
I do like the Schallers, but I also have a couple of these straps too and so far they've not been a problem..lock on both regular strap buttons and the Schaller buttons for me...But I am not doing the acrobatic Yngwie guitar throws and Ritchie Blackmore moves either..

never had any issues with these; been using them for many years. only the nylon can slip easily if the guitar is neck heavy; no issues with the locks opening, breaking or not working.

The ones I had started failing a few weeks after I installed them on my strat. I pulled them off and put Dunlops on like I have on all my other guitars.
 
I have the older design, not the auto lock. Maybe that's why they work for me? The ones I have are D'Addario Planet Waves, at least 5+ years old some even older. I have a few.

Same here bro'.

Replaced the Dunlops on all guitars and basses 'cause I prefer the lower profile.
 
I've had Schallers for 20+ years and never had an issue with them. I got the D'addario ones a couple of years back to try cause they were lower profile and I disliked them. They kept going loose and didn't feel as stable as the Schaller ones.

I don't know how you are having problems with those. The weight of the guitar should keep that part closed. I love those straps and have four of them. I just bought another one a few days ago. I gig with them and are amazing.
 
Cotter pin seems like a real great inexpensive option.
