The Bar that they planned the day of sailing is in Destin beach, Navarre beach is where a lot of the ocean filming and cable junction was filmed, Light house and Dead orca on beach scene is Fort Pickens/Pensacola beach, Town hall and sheriff station is in Pensacola.
The lobster boat is still in operation at Destin.
Plus our town plays Jaws 2 on the beach occasionally.
