Wasn't the woman 19 years of age? He wasn't exactly grooming a minor. And she initiated the interaction. That's my understanding.

I'm not sure if you understand what grooming means

The accusation is that he established a relationship with her when she was 17 waiting for her to come of age. In this scenario, it makes no difference if she initiated anything. Assuming he waited until she was 18, it may not be technically criminal but in public opinion it certainly would not be well received

I would have to see all the data to make a judgement. Even then, if he is criminally liable, he is innocent until proven guilty. People should hold off until all the facts are in and a trial is done. Even then, innocent people are found 'guilty.'
 
I'm gonna wait until all the facts are on the table. As of now, the only thing he's guilty of is shaming himself, his wife and his children.

There is a lot of this I dont understand. I mean if grooming is starting a relationship after the person turns 18 arent they considered a consenting adult at that point? I mean its not like he imported her from a 3rd world country and put her in some secure location until she was of age. I think about when I was 16 or 17 if Kim Deal, Kathleen Hanna, or Hope Sandoval were hanging out with me until they could have sex with me at 18 I would be overjoyed. My ego probably would have never recovered.

I dont know its not exactly R. Kelly here. To me this isnt a big deal. Its just an issue between Dave and his family not the band. Now when I first decided to take actual guitar lessons my local guitar teacher was Karl Logan from Manowar so maybe Im jaded. I went over to Karl's house once a week for guitar lessons for over 6 months and at some point during that time he got busted with child porn and I didnt find out until it was posted on Metalsucks. That was disgusting and it really upset me not to mention gave me huge trust issues about taking lessons from someone at their house.

But this is the biggest non story to me unless he was having sex with her as a minor.

Kind of idiotic and a borderline nothing-burger except that Dave Mustaine has a 23 year old daughter, so this might hit a little weird for him... but on the other hand, it's rock and roll and I'd be surprised if Dave or David haven't had relations with 18 year olds back in the '90's.

"18 year olds"...lol these 80's metal guys were writing songs about fucking underage girls that got on the Billboard charts. SHES ONLY 17....17!!!! And if anyone out there believes they all weren't banging teenage girls across the globe, I have a bridge to sell you. Not saying it's right or wrong but...people are hilarious. And to the dad's who get offended by that and say "I HAVE A TEENAGE DAUGHTER!" well lemme give you advice..don't let her hang out backstage at metal shows, you shit parent.
