I am happy to see he is doing something more his pace instead of acting like he can do what he did 40 years ago.

Other 80's aging musicians should do the same.

I agree this is pretty decent. I like it. I like the version by Fanny better back in the day but Dave can pull this stuff off better than the VH stuff these days.

Did anyone ever buy a VH album or go to a show for Dave's voice?
One of the greatest front-men ever and his style was perfect for VH,
but he's no great vocalist and it shows in this.

Plant with The Honeydrippers on the other hand,

I like this for him better than the weak rehashes of old VH tunes. He seems to be sort of lost as to what to do next. I feel for the guy.

I guess I'm an odd ball. I really like it for what it is, and the vocal track is the best sounding DLR in a long time. Dude can still write a catchy tune, which is way more than can be said about most of the "has beens".
