I'v owned a Dl4 and a few DD20's, DD3, DD2, MXR Carbon Copy, TC Nova delay.....i think that's it. The Damage Control Timeline i own now is my favorite. It really doesn't have that many modes, but everything is available whenever you want. You can add modulation whenever you want, or anolog sounds on any patch. Drawbacks are that it's huge and doesn't have a lot of on-the-fly versatility, but it's MIDI.

I think it's the most transparant delay I've used. Doesn't mess with your sound at all.

Thanks for sharing the vid Dan! That Damage Control looks sweet, although it is a bit big for what i need right now. Ideally looking for something no bigger than like a DD-20 size pedal. I'd like to try out the Damage Control though :)

I still love the Lexicon PCM 42, I havent used everything out there, but I think that ones hard to beat. ;)

I have heard that, also big love for the PCM70.

Oh yes, PCM-70 for Circle and Pan Delays and PCM-42 for Mod delay. Now that would be a dream setup for me!!

I basically cop the same thing using a Roland RSP-550 and a Roland SDE-1000. The 550 can do the PCM-70 tricks like Circular Delays/Pan Delays ala Lukather

Nevermind the cork-sniffers take on Line6. The DL4 is a great unit you'll always be glad you have around.

I had one and sold it. I couldn't use it in an effects loop because it drops the volume and into the input of an amp that's pushing some gain it's useless. Keeley mods them though to fix the volume drop issue.

Lots of PCM talk, but nothing about 2290's?

BTW, I really like the looks of the Nova Repeater.

I have a dd20 in the loop of my mod50, I really dig it. I'm using either tape or analog, don't remember....it's nice and warm.

I also have a TC Nova Delay for sale.

I won't have the money for one so fuck it I did not mention it

At the end of the Day Dan you have to assess the situation. If you just need a delay for live gigs then I don't see any need to spend a shitload of money. Id pick the cheapest best delay for the Job.

Hmm to be honest i think you're right Ralph.. I will only be using the Delay pedal at the gig, and when I'm home i can run my rig through my rack stuff instead.

I think i should just grab the DD-3 and call it a day!

DD5
DD7
DD20
Nova Repeater
Nova Delay
Echo Park
etc

I recently picked up a Keeley Moded DL4, and I'm VERY impressed with it. It addresses the volume drop that the DL4 is known for and it also improves the overall fidelity and quality of the delays. The looping feature and ease of use is what I loved most on the Std DL4's...and now the tone is finally where it needs to be.
