A reply I gave in another thread gave me this idea... if you could take any features from ALL the Diezel heads and combine them, what would they be? The only rule is it has to be realistic, and 3 channels... I'll good first...

The Verbert

Channel 1 would be the Herbert's clean but with an added gain knob and bright switch...

Channel 2 would be VH-4's channel 3

Channel 3 would be Herbert's channel 3

The amp would have the mid cut option (my god can you imagine VH-4's channel 3 with a bit of mid cut with the level real low?!)

It would have a second master volume and also have the channel inserts from the VH-4, but the switchable loop would be series instead of parallel...

The front grille would be polished aluminum, and the Diezel logo's colors would be reversed, meaning mostly black with white accents...

That would literally by my dream amp

Verbert is already available in the US. It retails for $9.000.oo

I'll play along

3 channels?

Channel 1: Schmidt channel 1.

Channel 2: switchable mods (ala Einstein, but SWITCHABLE with no volume variation). Mode 1 a dirty clean ala Einstein Texas, mode 2 Einstein's current mode 3. (two gain knobs, one for each mode. The rest can be shared)

Channel 3: VH4 channel 3

Mid cut
Channel Inserts
midi
Reverb
SMALL chasis head. I hate the VH4 size

one channel... prob Herbert channel 2. with an 800 watt all tube power section (turbo blower fan optional) with a matching 16 X 12 cabinet in snakeskin!!!! Just so it can be louder than my other Diezels

Channel 9 - Pizza Taxi with fat mids, auto topic select and an extra cheese mini switch
Channel 10 - Gig Channel - dial to get more gigs with a fat fee button

Jetzt Du, Peter :-) Chris

Don't be sad Peter... you know your doing something right when combining all your amps are considered people's dream amps!

Sounds like Peter needs to design a rack preamp then with all the different amp sounds in it and then design a seperate Diezel rack power amp that you can run all the different tubes in to appease everyone who wants a combination of all the amps - job done :D

Modular Diezel!! ,,,,,,I'm In! Has Reverb, holds 2 or 3 modules, I would say 2 so you can have a smaller headbox, about the size of Einstein.

My Dream Diezel?

It already exists and does everything I want PERFECT!!

Its called .............HERBERT!

Maybe with a reverb?? hehe even if chan 3 has a lil...

My dream Diezel would give me head.

Other than that I already own my dream Diezel, its a very rare prototype VH4 from 96 with a super secret crunch switch.

120/20watt
4 Channel

1: Herb Clean with Bright and Gain (but gain just affecting the higher frequencies) Knobs
2: VH4 Ch2 with a Voicing Knob, that blends over to the Einstein Texas mode
3: Herb Ch2+ with a Voicing Knob, that blends voer to Vh4 Ch3
4: Herb Ch3(with added sizzle/fizzle-fuzz-character) again with a voicing Knob that blends to the VH4 Ch4

+midi-switchable:
-MidCut
-overall gain-boost (kinda like a +/-switch or a tube screamer)
-2nd Master
-2nd input
-channel insert
-parallel and serial loops
-toaster
-blue-ray player
-world-domiantion mode

Go for it Papa D!

I don't know what my dream Diezel would be. I love the Herbert's hugeness. I love the VH4's tightness. I love the Einstein's vintage crunchiness. I love the Schmidt's classiness.

I'd probably go with a three channel head, 30 watts - which is the Schmidt. But we need two global master volumes - which is one of the Einstein's core features. We need a clean channel - probably the Herbert's. Then we need a crunch channel - probably the third mode on the Einstein's first channel. Then we need a lead channel with a mid-cut and a gain booster. So, either the second channel of the Herbert or the third channel of the VH4.

Then we need midi, series and parallel effects loops that can be turned on by the a switch on the back for each individual channel. Then we have a global effects loop switch on the footswitch. The gain boost also needs to be footswitch-able, and the mid-cut.

It'd probably have either KT77's or KT88's. No idea of the preamp tubes since I have no experience with them; whatever comes stock with Diezel's.

With all that said, I'd be very happy with simply all of the Diezel amps. In fact, I'd probably prefer that.
