Yes, my clean channel is the loudest so I have to jump on the volume knob as soon as I change mode.
Maybe I should have mentioned I have the Tubelit mode switches fitted which is in the Marshall pedal on my pedalboard.

I have had my suspicions about my preamp tubes since I have already changed the power tubes. When I get to Channel 1
mode 3 it is very gainy and compressed.

I think I will throw this open to the rest of the forum. Maybe Peter will help.

Yeah, I moved in December to a bigger place...so the amp is now in the living room. I do have a basement room that I could use, but I found that I don't go down there to play...so I moved the amp up to the apartment. :yes:
