Diezel VH2 vs Marshall JCM800 2203 Metal

I was actually getting ready to start a pinch harmonics post, but here we go...Pinch harmonics have been more about guitar or more specifically pups and/or strings as opposed to amp. Just my experience. Curious to hear others experience?
For me it's the amp. I pinch successful since 1988. :D

No. You asked me about natural harmonics. Pinch harmonics, i do a digging motion with my thumb. Im not very good at doing them fluidly. I am not goot at squeelies either.
Alright. So it was a misunderstanding.

And dont think i am attacking you bud. That clip was sick, i could give a fuck about if you did pinches, bud.

Ha, it is so cool you got that nice a tone out of both. It is different from the tone i go for, but man it is still nice. Metal as fuck
Thanks and sorry. I was a bit pissed off. ;)

Really like them both...But the Diezel has more character and sounds a bit more Hi-Fi with its exaggerated low mids and aggressive top end.
The Diezel is pretty cool, except for the crippled pinch harmonics....which are not present in this clip.

I made a few more clips. Thinner strings and a standard tuning help to a certain degree.

I did not check the clip yet, but from my experience, there is issues with pinch harmonics whenever the amp is too smooth in the high end, missing some high mid harmonics.
Thinner strings can indeed help as they thinner core creates a harmonically richer tone.
Another thing that helps are pickups that have less kohm and are therefore brighter.

Like i said: It's a very nice amp. But it only does crippled pinch harmonics. Did you never experience that in an amp? Boosted Rectifiers pinch like crazy for example. 6505s too. Marshall Plexis does it with an DS1 in Front. They are simply more open and less compressed.
Learn how to do them on acoustic ! Then you can do them on any amp or guitar

Pinch harmonics are a skill . Nothing to do with any amp . Learn them on acoustic

Man, I got to confess that, being a JCM800 fanatic, I do like the VH-2 way better in your audio.
I could never bond with the VH-4 I had, and didn't care much for the other revisions I've heard in person, but man, I've heard already two VH-4 videos here on RT and now yours, but all of them boosted, and fuck, they sound absolutely killer!
I might need to give them another chance. Now with a boost for sure!

A Klon (or some kind of treble boost pedal) into a VH4 sounds awesome.

It sounds pretty good. As long as you don't pinch. :D I think it's Diezel's best High-Gain Channel.

The vh4 is still better than vh2 . Its way more punchier . I thought I liked vh2 better because it had an easier gain structure . But when vh4 is boosted right it’s a chunk night mate

That's not true. There's just some Amps that do it better than others. I made clips. Will post them soon.
Yes bevayse they have more compression . But you should be able to them easily on any amp at any time when you have it mastered
