I like Diablo Guitars, but this seems like a stretch. Real ones sell for $20k, while the reissues are just 2010 Silverface guts with a blue faceplate. Don’t be misled.
"The reissue features the blue front and back panels as well as some internal circuit tweaks to bring the modern VH4 circuit closer to the original in sound." They don't even know what they're saying, and being a well known music store it's not a good thing. 20k for this is way too much.
My credit card stands at the readyI feel like with the snorkler and iic+ this is a prime time for a reissue
I sent them a message explaining that their description was a bit misleading, be the guy made me understand that the amp is for sale on consignment and they are just following what the seller wants to list it for. Crazy anyway. That price is absolutely insane, and yeah - what's inside that amp is basically a stock 2011 VH4. Reverb has become such a cesspool in the last few years, it's really frustrating. Even with the market being overloaded with gear flippers, I don't see that justifying 4x to 5x the going price for a VH4 from that era based only on the rarity of the blue faceplate.
Thanks for providing the link, though. Window shopping is always fun.
Is that still the case? I thought those days had peaked and passed. If not, will happily do a deal for my '96 for a mere $19999!I like Diablo Guitars, but this seems like a stretch. Real ones sell for $20k, while the reissues are just 2010 Silverface guts with a blue faceplate. Don’t be misled.
