I have a VH4 and take it as it was meant to be
If you need to mod a 4K$+ amp, you should probably look elsewhere
That's just my opinion though...

Did you read my post? The mod is switchable in and out. Seems like an awesome ADDITION. You lose nothing.

Yes I did read it ;)
Unless you're really picky, there probably is an amp out there you will love 100% stock
And resale value, if the mod is not factory, you could lose $

Well buddy, I've owned a VH4 before and liked it quite a bit. In fact, I've had a WTB ad in the classifieds for a few days. This mod seems like it would be a nice addition. Thanks for all your input.

I'm not your buddy, friend ;)

Looking at the Kruse Kontrol website, it seems the DeKompression mod is a "magic formula" appliable to many high gainers. Excuse my scepticism. First thing I would do is contact Peter Diezel on here and ask him about it

That sounds very good ! Anyone have an idea what he does to the amp ?

Btw: going by some clips this could be the same guy who played the clip (I think) Rivera used for their speaker comparison.

Jens isn't your run of the mill hack job modder. He was in charge of Diezel USA repairs for awhile. I'm confident he knows the amps inside and out.

But can he do cup holder mods?
Since you have the opportunity to ask Mr. Diezel in person, that's what I would do first before you ask any of us hacks

It's fine if you are ok with a hole being drilled into your amp...

Yeah, you'd have to live with a new pot installed in your chassis.

Couldn't pass the opportunity; see South Park Season 12, Episode 4 for reference

okie doke

Seems like a pretty cool and useful addition to an already monster amp. I would consider it if I owned a VH4 as long as it wasn't too invasive.

I just bought a used front loaded 412 Diezel from Jens. Cool to deal with and quick to deliver. The mods sound pretty good though and just adds another dimension to an already awesome amp.

I don´t call myself a super tech because I can
switch on a solder pen. Why don´t send an email
to peterdiezel (at) diezelamplification (dot) com
and I will support you. And I don´t have to be sad
about any destroyed Diezel amps. There is also a
big service manual for skilled techs.
