it's ok mate, good things come to those who wait!

I pm'd you on the mts forums, if you could reply that'd be great! Thanks mate

it looks amazing, I can't wait to get it and hear it in the flesh :D

I think they are too expensive. You are paying for the appearance as well.

I don't think they're that expensive for a high quality mod and high quality sound! That's one of the main reasons I bought a mod 50, so could just buy new modules instead of whole new amps

If you buy a new module and have it modded..it can get more expensive than an Egnater module new...but you're getting a tailored sound, updated cosmetics, additional features...well worth the money IMO.

New Eggie mod costs $400, doesn´t it?
New Randall mod costs $209
basic Salvation modification costs $199
and this is not only changing of several parts for Orange drops (work for 20min btw ;)), but completely rewiring of signal path by silvered solid core wire, changing ALL components in signal path for quality one, mostly 2 channels, custom faceplate + knobs

Is this expensive???

and features for 20bucks = more channels (another 3-6 sound modes!!!), noisegate, dynamic gain, voicing, continous midshift and many more...

Still too expensive???
Then go to Wall-Mart and buy it for $39 ;)

Assuming that they sound as amazing as they look   $199 for a mod seems reasonable.

It's not secret that resistors and capcitors cost very little. Components for the module (caps and resistors, not including tubes) probably cost $20-25 max. But you're paying for TIME, and for KNOWLEDGE.

Ripping open a module is delicate, time consuming stuff. I've done it myself to swap some caps. Swapping caps is not rocket science, but if not done properly, you'll ruin the PCB. But even a cap/resistor swap job is worth at the very minimum, to me, $55-$75 bucks or so, because of the delicate, time consuming nature of the work.

Total rewiring of the circuit, changing out values of components, new faceplate, new knobs... $199 sounds pretty good to me.

I'm still not totally sure how you make those awesome faceplates, anthony. Is that silkscreening?

And re-wiring of the signal path with silver wire... does that mean you're bypassing the traces on the PCB?

Very good points guys! I agree! Not bad at all! I don't need the new faceplate, new knobs, etc but it is a bonus.
I just realized some of these are two channel.

Although learning to do your own mods is fun!

I like the Ubersonic and DeadPlate better than the Diezel. I think Bogenrs and VHTs are less stiff so I may be leaning that way. What is his VHT mod? what is the Custom?

- Terrier is modular crossover of GP3-Deliverance-Pittbull (as you can see switches and modes)
- Custom3 is based on legendary preamp CAE 3+SE (old 3+ and new SE version both included)

i am sold on the concept.

i personally have for modules with tony for mods right now.

XTC
Benzin
Wagener SLOdano
Custom 3

for me, going with egnater modular stuff has really cut down on my amp gas.

I used to buy and trade and turn around amps all the time. But since i have gone modular, i found that i have sold most of my stuff and use different modules.

Very addicting, but having modules modded is much cheaper than buying new heads and because i play mostly high gain, i feel most of the tone comes from the preamp. Hence, a win win situation for me.

currently have a mod100

have sent jeff a lynch box to get the double channel mod for a backup.

and i now have a m4 coming because i want to use some of the other modules on the fly.

i trying to decide between the rjm effects gizmo and the switchblade 8b to control the rig!

I think my Benzin is waiting for me at the post office to pick up tomorrow!!!

And i've practice tomorrow night too, so i'll let you all know how it sounds in real life!

I think I'd be happy if I could get my Erect tighter which I will and get a killer XTC type module. I am going to get a Randall XTC module and mod the hell out of it. I'll keep ya posted.

The only other thing I want is something like the Bogner Uber, VHT or a Diezel.  :D ;)

Do both channels on a Salvation mod work in a stock Randall amp?

Yep. But...it's switchable only by the switch on the front...not MIDI.
