Obviously, GFS will be the cheapest one (although lots of people dig the GFS anyway, dollars be damned), so for the $20-30 worth a shot right? HD makes killer pickups, but not for cheap. And with regards to the middle position, its both pickups on, in parallel. Fender makes a 4-way switch, with the additional position being both on in series; cheap upgrade for another sound, right? Me, I dig strats, so my tele has a middle position routed, but then again, its not terribly traditional...

And my guitar I have with me on the other side of the pond, with the Area Hot T (before it was completed):

You'll be extremely happy with the Area T neck-- THE best Tele neck pickup I've heard. For the bridge, get in touch with Mike Z from PA and have him custom order you an Air Norton T. You won't be sorry. Duncan Tele pickups sound like ass to me.

is that the one vrad made a clip of?

anywho...area hot T in the bridge for sure....the neck....I'll see what the area T's like I think....the stocker isn't completely awful...just wayyyy noisy..a little anemic..

I played the shit outta the thing last night....really digging the single coil tone..not much to hide behind but that percussive sound is great.....hopefully the area hot T keeps that dynamic with just a little more oomph
