slapped one of these in my cheapo squire tele a couple weeks back (thanks vrad) and finally got around to adjusting the height and raping, I mean, playing the guitar for a few hours tonight..

normally I'm a high output pickup guy (got two duncan distortions and a JB in my other three guitars)...this is hotter than the stock tele bridge that came with it but I'd still say it's on the low medium side as far as output goes.

this pickup really smokes..of course playing it cold isn't exactly pretty at first being I'm not a boost guy and I don't play super saturated amps..but after I worked the cob webs off I couldn't stop playing it...dimarzio is really putting out some sweet single sized pickups these days..

yep...especially if you dial down the game a little bit...if you turn it up, it's still there but it's still playable and it's not icepicky...the twang is still there...I'm sure the bridge has somethign to do with that as well

I almost went with the area hot T but that didn't seem quite hot enough so I went with the chopper instead

I was looking at that pickup for my Legacy strat, along with a lot of others
Started getting really confusing but ended up just ordering a bill lawrence set last night. didn't really want the blade look anyway and you can't really beat the prices for the BL pickups. Only downside is I probably have to wait a couple weeks.

I'm tempted by this pickup in my Tele. I have Texas Specials in there at the minute and I do like them but being a Kotzen fan, I'm interested in the Chopper T. Nobody's compared them per chance?

Killer pickup. They come stock in the Fender Kotzen telecaster. It totally has that Tele kind of vibe to it, but also kicks ass on heavier rock tones.
