So yeah, I like Disturbed. Lots of riffs, pretty good swing to the tunes, not super shreddy but thick. Dan Donegan may be a little underrated as a player. Draiman may be a bit pretentious but it's seems like they give a full effort all the time.

Fire away....

No man....I am right with you. Love me some Disturbed.

U give them more credit than i do. To me , distured=dogshit.
each thier own.

My wife went to high school with Danny. She said if she new he was going to be famous she would of done him.

I really only listened and dug the one CD..."Sickness"....
some good stuff on it. First couple of tracks were so fresh and crushing back when it first came out.
Never paid much attention to them after that.

I agree with Mailman. First album was cool and had good guitar tone. Went downhill after that IMO.

Can't stand his singing. I heard Draiman's new band last night. They are called Device......I hated it as well

Yeah when they covered the Genesis tune.....I stopped listening to them all together.

Meh. Their earlier stuff was better.

Then again I don't see why Killswitch Engage is so loved on this forum.

I'm a fan. I think that dude has a great voice for rock/metal. They're an instantly recognizable band. Are they great? No. Are they good enough to listen to for a few tunes and move onto something else? Yeah. To the OP, I agree about the riffs and tone....all the 'serious' metal heads I know rag about em. But I graduated high school a long time ago. I dig what I dig.

Not sure whats funnier.....the quote.....
or the Head to arm ratio..... :hys:
Still love that album.
Yeah....I called it an album. Not a CD.....not a disk....but an ALBUM!

I really got into their second album, Believe. It was pretty fresh sounding and he actually sang on it and didn't do the monkey sounds as much. Then I lost interest again until Indestructible. That album has good Bogner XTC/Randall tones and a few really ripping solos. The lead on "Torn" is my fav.

Tired of yo' Jibba Jabba Sucka!!!

First few times I heard their initial releases I thought they definitely had a heavy, cool vibe. Don't forget, when they came out - PickleBack was owning the airwaves. So it was either PickleNeck, Creed, or Oh wa ka ka ka!! I chose the latter for the short period before it became monotonous to my head.

They're bigger than any of us, sooooooooo.... I suppose hats off, but I don't own any of their CDs.

GAY, cheese! But they have more expendable income than I, so who am I to say?

I played the popular songs off thier first album probably 500,000 times in a cover band for a few years so I could never listen to it again.  The crowds usually got into it whenever we played their stuff though.

I like this tune.

For some reason I think of these guys as a better non-American version of Disturbed. Maybe it's all the bald dudes.
