I really got into their second album, Believe. It was pretty fresh sounding and he actually sang on it and didn't do the monkey sounds as much. Then I lost interest again until Indestructible. That album has good Bogner XTC/Randall tones and a few really ripping solos. The lead on "Torn" is my fav.

Agreed, thought that album had some solid stuff on it with out bird mating calls!!

First few times I heard their initial releases I thought they definitely had a heavy, cool vibe. Don't forget, when they came out - PickleBack was owning the airwaves. So it was either PickleNeck, Creed, or Oh wa ka ka ka!! I chose the latter for the short period before it became monotonous to my head.

They're bigger than any of us, sooooooooo.... I suppose hats off, but I don't own any of their CDs.

Back in the day, every time Eyes Wide Open or any other Creed song came on the radio, I would nearly choke on my own vomit.

Donegan can match tracks like no one I have ever heard. He would play a riff while tweaking his 1086 module and play it exactly the same time and time again. Really impressive!

I got in and out very quick. Dug the second album and tour. Thats it and more than enough.

I actually dig their newer stuff than the old. But they're one of the best metal bands out in resent years.

So yeah, I like Disturbed. Lots of riffs, pretty good swing to the tunes, not super shreddy but thick. Dan Donegan may be a little underrated as a player. Draiman may be a bit pretentious but it's seems like they give a full effort all the time.

Fire away....

Like what you want, man! For what it's worth, Dan Donegan is a really, really cool cat. Total gear nerd and a hell of a guitarist.

I liked them back before they got big. Now I'm into other awesome bands you've never heard of, because I'm hip.

They are on and off for me. Of the songs I like, I really like them. Of the others, they don't do much for me.

Disturbed are a gateway drug and that is fine with me.

I'm a fan. I think that dude has a great voice for rock/metal. They're an instantly recognizable band. Are they great? No. Are they good enough to listen to for a few tunes and move onto something else? Yeah. To the OP, I agree about the riffs and tone....all the 'serious' metal heads I know rag about em. But I graduated high school a long time ago. I dig what I dig.
What he said. Unique vocals without the need to scream the entire song, good hooks and melody and crushing, chugging guitar.
I like 'em.

For whatever reason, I can't really get into them. I've tried but something about the music and the vocals does not mesh with me. I love the Genesis cover they did and "Down with the Sickness". I don't know what it is about his voice but sounds like he is singing in a british accent or something. I've tried though. :)

Always liked em I think Dan has some killer riffs and does some tasty solos. David does get to be a bit much but he fits the band well. Really dug the last album Asylum. Hopefully they come off hiatus soon and put out a new album

I have 2 of Dans sig washburns, great sounding guitars. Don't know how his schecter is but the body doesn't appeal to me

I cannot get into them either, but to each their own.
