Do road cases have an effect on tone?

I got them from a guy up in Kansas City. I don't believe he ever mentioned a band name, but if I remember correctly... He said that the band he was in at the time was getting ready to take off and he bought this setup and immediately had the road cases built for them in anticipation of going on the road. Then, something happened and the band broke up and it didn't happen. Something along those lines. The cases are Slamhammer Cases, out of Minnesota, which I believe is where the guy said he bought the 1/2 stack too. He got the entire setup brand new, and they have been in the road cases teh entire time. Really nice guy, and I think he's associated with a few of the local churches in the KC area working with rescue missions and recovery work for those struggling with addiction.
