I found this very interesting. At first i thought: what's that for a strange guy?, but it's well worth to watch.
There's subtitles in english.

That's fascinating to me because I lost hearing in my right ear about 25 years ago. And I believe that each ear dominates each side of the brain at least a little bit but it might be the 'other' side of the brain each ear dominates. My right ear is the bad one but sometimes when playing difficult parts I have to 'try' to listen with my right ear...even turning my head in that direction. I found that if I was having problems hearing my playing and then I turned my head so my left (good) ear was facing the sound source I would fuck up on guitar more. If I turn my head so my right (bad) ear faces the source and I can then play my way thru it. I only noticed it when playing something really difficult (for me).

I heard no melody at first but then by the end I couldn't unhear it. Cool video.

How did that happen? He pointed the thing out with the ears and the left and right brain side and how the brain works regarding left/right.
Makes even more sense now, since you experience the same.
Yeah, i started hearing it at the 40-60% part. Once you got it's there. :)

How did that happen?
It's not a tumor...but yeah it's a tumor. Right on the auditory nerve for the right ear. Rings like a gunshot just went off very close...but deaf to outside noise. Left ear is perfect for my age. You get used to it. I feel so sorry for Beethoven who had it to the nth degree (at both ends since he had perfect pitch when he could hear).

That's sucks. I have a Tinnitus and some frequencies are missing on my right ear, but i'd say i'm fine in that regard.
These are the things you have to unhear. :)
I tried that what Beato did with the Frequency Range in both directions. Over 12khz there's not much going on (anymore).
And i double checked my Tinnitus with his. :D
Oh man. :ROFLMAO:

I originally got this back when we still had home phones with dial tones. And at first it just faded to deafness over a year or two. When I would put a phone with a dial tone up to each ear I would hear entirely different pitches due to the interference of the ringing.

Another very interesting video on sound.

"Fundamentals" i watched an EQ-Video about that recently.

I don't really talk about it much, but I'm completely deaf in my right ear from a motorcycle accident injury. Not much left in my left either and have to use a cochlear implant which cost a lot and took like half a year to train. My battery stopped charging a while back, but it doesn't really matter as the nerve damage combined with a prior infection from the implant is bound to have me completely deaf soon as it's not healed properly and getting significantly worse.

I've been too depressed to care about the battery, tbh. I've been playing classical instruments since I was about 5 and the guitar not long after, so it's been a big part of my life. Sometimes I joke about it to make myself feel better, but the truth is that I miss natural sound and I'll never get used to it. Sometimes I cry and drink and lie to myself that it will get better, so I play as often as I can while I still have the ability to get aural feedback. Excuse me while I go do that now.

That's hard. I probably don't use the right words in English, but i feel sorry for you in a honest way. Don't know what elso to say, but all the best!

I appreciate it! I love to share my passions with others and will sooner than later be giving away most of my collection and have already started to some degree. In the mean time I will still horde new gear and enjoy while I can. Sometimes I ask people to post clips, partly for humor or call outs and partly because I may not be able to enjoy original works in the coming years that I don't hear in my head. It's funny too, because I've never been a tone chaser.
