Then the cycle can start again, debating whether or not the reaction to the debacle was OTT. I hope to God whoever makes that one doesn't ham up the facial expressions too-much, lest we end up with yet another layer of potential confusion.

Of course, if this happens, reaction videos of peeps' brains oozing out of their ears will spring forth, offending some no doubt, leading to... uugghh...

Agreed. Reminds me of those god awful talent shows like The Voice where the judges are wowing, gasping and commenting during the performance. Fake is the new sincere - pretty depressing.

An unfortunate byproduct of this behaviour is that it encourages myopic judgement of performances; context is lost. It becomes all about short-term thrills. Enter stage left... modern society.
