oh wow, condolences for him and his real life people. I guess for us too online, this sucks
It's your ol' buddy who's dead against sock puppets bro'.
Claimed he worked with Donnie, "cried many tears" while writing a tribute song, shared an anecdote about a joke he told Donnie at work and his apparently-hilarious response, yada yada.
Classy stuff.
Donnie B, Donnie B, Donnie BBreaking:
I just changed my name to Donnie via Interpol.
Pizza please...
Just joined this forum, just to post in this thread.
I knew Donnie B, from a different forum, which will remain nameless.
I considered him a friend, and we were able to talk for awhile before he passed.
I truly miss him, and hope his family is doing their best to heal.
I raised a glass to him, and fired up a bowl of hash in his memory, a couple months ago, and I still am a little gutted.
I didn't even know he was THE Donnie B. Until he admitted in the forum I was a member of, at the time...not anymore...?
I truly only knew him as Achilles, until he gave me his email address in a PM.....and asked if I may want to buy some gear.
When he came out as Donnie B, it was kind of a legendary moment for some....and truly made me giggle...as I had been following, or seeing his interactions for years....not knowing it was him.
I had many conversations with him about product and packaging design, and will always cherish the time he shared with me.
I also remember hearing about his son, Michael, from him....as he was in burning man at the time....he was very proud and spoke very highly of him.
I have him to thank for 24/7 Spyz ... Eternally.
Nice to see so many kind words in his memory.
Cheers all!
RIP Donnie B!
Great idea! Thank you!Well, just pay it forward.
I do little things for beginners, to repay those whom did the same for myself.
So build a kid a pedalboard and donate it in his name.
That's what I would do.
You're welcome.Great idea! Thank you!
