I'm leaving Maine to head back to Tennessee in the next few weeks and going to be driving the truck home in the next few days to leave it before renting a car to head back up here and start packing. It's a big ol' lifted 3500 on 35s and driving it 1200 miles back home. I have it in the shop now getting a BADLY needed new steering box and steering linkage. The shop said everything else looked fine to make the drive home, just that it needed those steering parts, so cross your fingers that it makes it all the way home lol

Pretty sure you'll be good to go. With proper care and a tune up every now and again, diesel trucks will keep on running.

Good luck Matt. Odds are it'll be fine mate, as you know, but as you'd also know, one can never know. :dunno:

Moved to Automotive, Bikes & Motorsport.

Well-done Matt.
Yep, Dodge does diesel right. I had an 84 Ford diesel with an International engine. I found i had to carry a fuel filter with me at all times because it would just suddenly die with no warning and wouldn't re-start until the filter was changed.
Not a tough job, done in 5 minutes but that surprise of "it's time to change your filter" by dying...that sucked.
