I had a friend sell him a 57 strat for $42,000 about 10 years ago. I wonder if it's the same one.
 
I believe that '57 Start was once owned by Joe Perry. Joe's wife at the time (Elyssa) was selling-off Joe's guitars while he was on-tour for ridiculously low prices to local buyers. I believe this is one of them.

Yrs back vintage guitar magazine did a story and photos shoot of his collection. He has some killer gear and has been playing and collecting gear for decades. Several of his guitars were given/sold to him by some of the great bluesmen like Freddy king , Albert lee, etc. He even recorded with many of them and his chops are pretty good considering. Believe it or not it was a really good read and pretty interesting.
 
I have never..........EVER.....seen anyone play a guitar like him.

tell you what.....I would watch Seagal play his strat ANYDAY....
then sit thru this concert!!! :doh: :doh:
