Eric, great clip man! I just love the neck pickup tone on that EG5......

I had originally had a big post here, but it was hijacking your clip so I deleted it!! Sorry.

hate to burst your bubble, but its the middle pickup on my custom style strat ;).

emg 81 in the bridge, SA in the middle, SLV in the neck. but i do LOVE the SLV w/ the EG5 when its in the neck....smooooooth like butta :).

Very nice riff and groove! And of course it sounds great, I'll be calling Egnater HQ ASAP! :)

Sorry for not listening sooner but i was gigging both nights this weekend. Anyhow...that sounds REALLY nice, heavy and thick. I like the song too. You did the EG5 justice!

nice, i love that less gain/singlecoil kind of sound you got there too, very cool sound.

You guys are going to think I'm crazy, but I think I like the SL2 more than the EG5.

I don't think you are nuts. I love my SL2. I can't decide which I like better actually. I'm bringing the EG5 tonight for the gig, but I'll have the SL2 with me as well. I think the band situation is where the EG5 shines.

I'll join the chourus on your cool clip! And, the way I hear these modules in my hands, the EG5 is still my modern rhythm channel of choice and the SL2 is my favorite lead channel due to the thicker low mids and slightly looser compression and more percussive feel.

Thanks to all for the warm comments!!! It is a cool song idea that needs some work here and there ;), but nonetheless not bad for an hour or so worth of work ;).

I agree w/ you John on the EG5 vs SL2. I use the EG5 for all of my rhythm tones (channel A EG5 is my lower gain crunch, and channel B EG5 is my heavier rhythm tone). I use the SL2 (channel B) for all of my leads. It bumps through the mix for soloing even more and has this smooth buttery tone to it. I'm a big fan of the SL2 for leads. I use channel A for low gain "effected" rhythms....meaning...with phases, flangers, etc.

Eric.
