dammit. I want the 4x10 now :(

will they issue a 4x10 cab? (you know, without an amp?)

I want the head

combos are just too heavy :(

Dude...Just call Mojotone.com and have them make you one!!! I did that for my 1x12 extension that fits under my Mod50 1x12 cab. (The oversized 1x12 was about an inch wider than the 1x12...plus I didn't want a ported cab). They make all of Eggie's USA cabs, head cases, etc. Got it the same color tolex, grill cloth, etc. as my Mod50 1x12 combo. Just do that and get the speakers that Eggie is putting in there. You'll be good to go :)

That 4x10 did sound awesome. I might have to do that....Get a headcase for my 1x12 combo....and use it with the 4x10! Put the DLX, SL, or the COD in there...holy hell that could be bad ass!

Dude I can't wait to fill up my 4x10 with some speakers. Mine is an open back from the 70's. Got it for $150!!! :D  I also REALLY want a cab with 15's. Jeff was talking about them in Gene's thread out in the main room. Gave me some major wood for 15's.

I'm swamped at work, but a quick report.

Just got back from NAMM 09, and let me tell you, the Egnater Renegade 50 SMOKES.

BMAN-ish clean channel.
EG3/4/5 ish drive channel, with lots of tweakable switches to take you from smooth buttery midrangey lead tones, to nice biting aggressive stuff, with plenty of gain on tap.
Amazingly well thought out footswitch.
Great sounding digital reverb.
TWO master volumes, to give you a solo boost volume level.

A seriously kick-a$$ amp. I was way, way impressed.

Well, that's all I needed to hear. Come May I will be getting one of these bad boys.

Well I was pretty set on getting a MOD50 until all the renegade 50 stuff came out......

My guess is that the MOD50 is a better more flexible option but the Renegade 50 will probably do all I need it to.
I like the idea of the digital reverb and assignable loop as well as the tube blend.....damn! can I get one now Bruce?? please!

Did anyone heft the 1X12 combo? What do you estimate the weight at?

I will be posting a 2 part interview with Bruce and Jeff discussing all new product later today!

Renegade50 vs. Mod50.

Lets put it this way: I own a Mod50 with T/D and EG3/4 and SL.

I'd be 100% sastisfied gigging with the Renegade 50. The tones out of that amp, for right around $1K, are absolutely stellar. I hope the Egnater Renegade puts Marshall out of business.

You'd be INSANE to drop $1500+ on a marshall instead of getting the Renegade. The tones are in a whole other class of quality.

From the demos I have heard ..IMO

you are basically getting a Randall rt.50 power amp .
a bassman/tourmaster clean , and Eg4/SL2 modules
---
plus footswitchable solo boost with level control.
lo/hi power per channel 10/50 watt
reverb spillover ..for a $1000  .

I dont care if its made in Ubeckisstan .amazing amp for the money just may replace my rm4 for my rig this summer.

I wonder if it has the recording out of the Rebel 30 as well that would be sweet.

Gene:

Just watched Brad's (rareguitar) video, and Bruce said they were thinking of putting out the 4x10 cabinet by itself. So it looks like we have a 4x10 coming soon :)

I'll probably buy one!!!

So did anyone bug Jeff and Bruce about new modules? Any plans for something this year?

While I agree with almost all of this, Nick are you sure that the boost has a configurable level? I didnt think it did. I think those two masters were just for the 2 channels. I do know you can assign both the boost and reverb to either or both of the channels (can you you say awesome?) and that the Effects loop is footswitchable as well. But I dont think the amount of boost can be adjusted.

This amp was one of the top amps at the show for me. And thats counting amps costing $2000-$4000. They hit it out of the park with the Renegade. Anyone looking for a pop/rock/hard rock amp around $1000 should buy this immediately. It smokes every amp in its price range and even some more than twice its price. I cant stress how good this amp sounds. Its the very last amp I went back to play before leaving the show. Its that good. Absolutely gorgeous cleans and a gain channel that does SL2 or EG3/4 to a T depending on how you dial it in with the knobs and switches. Oh, and dont forget the ability to blend between EL34s and 6L6s. Awesome.
