You know you could always try the Warehouse Veteran 30 in there. It's like $45 and if you like it, sell the CL80 which you can probably get close to $80 for it or so.

The WHS Vintage 30's rock!!!! As do the Black and blue (alnico blues)!!

I honestly wouldnt judge it at home volumes. I dont judge anything by how it sounds outside of a band context anymore.

Unfortunately (or not) home playing context is *exactly* my criteria...I never have, nor will I ever, play in a band context I just wondered if it would sound much better really loud
