LOL i just plain love the EG34X. It's by far my favorite Marshall type module. There's a reason why I don't own a SL2X anymore! :) EG34X is the new SL2X.

The EG3/4x seems to have a ton of range. I can get it to go from almost SL2xish to stock EG3/4ish. I'm a big fan. I'm betting if I did 2 tracks, one with the 3/4x and one with the SL2x mixed together, it would sound pretty killer.

 Agreed,the 3/4x rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!see ya tomorrow :D

Man that's some nice hearty-thick soup tone...with a bite of croutons on top!

E - I just googled that Joe Bonamassa song. You're NAILING the tone right there bro.

Is the EG3/4 the closest to a Bogner XTC? I'm looking for a module that will get my Tele into Joe Bonamassa territory. Here's a clip of what I'm looking for. I believe he was using Jubilee's on the clip.

In my opinion, yes. The lowmids and thick midrange of the eg34 combined w the X mod yeild very bogner like results. The eg34x can cover a lot of ground.

Wags, I feel the tone in that clip would be more along the lines of the SL2X.

Definitely SL2X tone there. The EG34X is a lot thicker through the mids than the SL2X, which I personally prefer.

You can also get close w/ the ChB of the VX too. The VX ChB can get really close to that also.

I'd use VX if I was gonna mimic that. I hear a moderate janglyness. I hear an extended bottom compared to the typical Marshall. And I also don't hear that typical Marshally midrange. Yah, I believe a VX would work very well if you're playing a tele like Joe is.

Eric, what did you find best in a 212...a mix of H75/M75 or two M75s?

OK, how the hell do you have the BB on 1 and the bass all the way up!!!!!!! are you playing bass now? LOL!
My EG3/4 never gets past noon on the bass - sounds good though.

Rich, my thoughts as well? My Rig would sound bassy as hell set up like that. But it sounds really good!!!!!

Eric does like his Bass!!

Mine usually stays between 10:00 and noon or so. But you are right, the clip does sound good.....nice and thick man!!

That's why I love these damn amps man.......so many good tones and ways to go about getting them is so much fun.

I thought the title said "just got laid"but it was just Eric wanking around :D
