New vid posted. Can't wait to play it. Sounds thick and juicy. Love the Tourmaster and it can do some decent metal tones but not the recent models. This hopefully will not be $1600 but then again it's got the ISP and alot of features....I would figure at least 1200-1300 for the head, even made in China.

Is that Gainfreak in the background @ 00:27? Looks like him...

This amp is going to be a hit. I'm there.

That vid sounds good. Still would like to hear it doing some real metal tones which it wasn't but sounds like it could get there with a few knob twists.

I dig the look of the new amp. I dig the look of the Mods as well. I just wish they didn't name it after a Bruce Willis movie.

Umm, the concept of Armageddon was realized long before 1998. ;)

Personally I think its a fitting name for a metal guitar amp, though I prefer Vengeance as a name.

In the end who cares as long as it rocks! My Diezel Einstein is named after a dog who is named after a physicist, not very metal but damn does it slay!!!

with that mid knob it gets very brutal. And this has a tighter bottom than any other Egnater I've heard. Add in the noise gate clamping down and it gets really cool!

Chinese made or USA?

At that price point I'd say China most likely.

$1600 for chinese? too much IMHO, granted I think it sounds killer from the video of Mark playing it, but for that price, I'd buy another Titan, or a MINTY fresh American made Mesa, or Marshall..... now if they got the price down to around $1000 and it could beat out a Peavey or Mark III or something along that price range, then yeah... Hell I've NEVER paid $1600 for an amp, and I've owned alot of REALLY nice amps, VHT, Mesa, Marshall, etc....

Dunno man..three channels and a hell of a lot of voicing options/features for $1600 is quite an achievement and the cut down version (Renegade) is probably close to $1k no?

Who else are they competing with in the price range for those features...VHT? I'm sure there are a bunch of competitors...some of them 'assembling' in country too...

Not calling you on anything...just curious as I don't really look outside my MTS amps anymore.

Looks great, I'm really interested.

I'd like to see a low wattage version as well. 50/25 watt.

btw, you'll all be happy to know that the new Egnater Armageddon has a great new "scoop" feature, so you can gut the amp of all those annoying mid-range frequencies...

Uh, it's not just a cut, it can also act as a mid boost.

This amp looks cool, but I'm actually more interested in the cab. That Mic Eliminator, if it works well, is a very cool feature. I believe some of the Randall cabs have them too. If it's priced right, and I can get the V30/K100 mix as an option, I may pick one up.

I played it at the NAMM show, and it sounded like shat with the knob turned either way...

Sorry it took so long. Armageddons are shipping and should be arriving in stores now. Please let me know your thoughts/comments/suggestions/ideas...etc.
Thanks

Always liked my old armageddon. Sent it packing before giving it a fair shake really for a Randall Satan. I'd like to revisit the Armageddon though.
