OH, by the way, one more thing...I bought the amp from their main dealer in UK guitarguitar.co.uk

man, what a bummer to hear. i understand nate is swamped in that shop all by his self. bruce and ian need to address this shit.
unnacceptable.

Whatever reason is there they need to address. It is not fair for customers and not good for reputation either.

Not going to turn this into a bashing party, but I will say that I'm considering an amp change from my Fender Super Reverb + dirt pedals setup to a multi-channel head/cab. Top three at the moment are a Fender Super Sonic 60 head (newer one), Mesa Express 5:50 Plus and a Tourmaster head (original or HG).
The only thing NOT putting the Tourmaster HG in the overwhelming lead is the concern over support.

I ever had any srious trouble with my Tourmaster or Renegade. It was the Rebel 30 that gave me problems.

i've been posting in the tourmaster threads just to help other TM amp owners. i know it probably makes me look dumb, but hey, whatever....maybe someone can gain something out of my experiences.

Well I can understand you are upset, it's always annoying to have new gear fail, but you should look at this a bit more neutral:
1. You purchase an item from the UK, so you have to deal with the consequences. It needs fixing, you gotta ship it. (Thomann for example pays the shipping both ways though)
2. If they would send you the spare parts, they take quite a risk. They don't know if you break the amp while doing the repair, or even worse, hurt yourself. What if you receive the spare circuit board and then break the amp when attempting to fit it? Would you accept it as our own fault?

These are all factors I could understand.

Plus you should have read guitarguitars T&Cs before bashing about Egnater:
"3.4 - Damaged Goods
3.4.1 - All orders are pre-checked and are well packaged before dispatch. However, in the event of goods arriving damaged, any shipping damage must be reported within 24 hours of receipt. In this event, we will confirm the damage and if a claim is found valid, will collect the goods from you at no charge. A full replacement will be offered, or a full refund in the event that the goods are no longer in stock. We reserve the right to request additional photographic evidence in order to verify such claims. "

You should have taken a look at their forum here before buying an amp.

why is that?
Because the reasoning is this is not the first rodeo on the lack of customer support from them, or so I have read a few times.

My experience so far has proved that they do in fact have problems regarding customer service. They don't even want to communicate, let alone helping customer.

Is this an onboard reverb tank?

No unfortunately. It is a digital reverb board. It works in parallel to the preamp section I think.

That definitely sucks. Good luck to you and thanks for the heads up. I hope you get it resolved. At least they could pay someone relatively close to you to fix it.

well, i was on here b4 i got my tourmaster (and grailtone) and saw relatively nothing about the shit that goes on with them....let alone the fact that the amps had a higher failure rate than usual.... just saying.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Egnater CS. Outstanding is the word I would use for it.

There are a couple of factors in the o.p. that help me to understand why CS would be a little harder to obtain in that situation, regardless of the company involved. I don't have an opinion beyond that.

Hope you get it worked out. FWIW: I talked to an amp tech who has worked on a couple of my amps, he said there isn't anything terribly unique about Egnater amps from the standpoint of servicing them. I don't know, I'll have to take his word for it. But this tells me you can probably get the amp fixed. It's getting it under warranty that is probably the issue here.

Hi, thanks for the input. Warranty is of course important, I bought this amp new and it should be working. However, if a knob is broken or if a lamp is not working, making you send the whole amp to travel half of the world is not being reasonable in my book. You could argue that reverb unit is not the same thing with a knob or a lamp, but really it is. Its just a small pcb attached to the main circuit with a few connectors. It is not much different than installing a harddrive to your computer.

I am repeating: All I want is to send the broken pcb to them and Egnater to check the faulty pcb, fix it or send a new one to me! I will never be able to see how this is a difficult thing to do. I am SURE it has been done before by them and many other companies!..Its just about being reasonable, helpful and a little bit trustworthy.

emreyazgin, I'm sorry you are having problems with your amp, that sucks! My suggestion is to use the forum search feature and search for author 'Bruce Egnater'; he has posted his personal email numerous times and will reply back to you. It is a shame that people have such a difficult time contacting support with the numbers and emails provided but it is what it is. Give Bruce a try, I'm sure he will make it right.
