I can't wait for this one. Bruce and Jeff, Will there be any mods for it also?

What's the release date on it, I need to sell my 5150.

Supposed to be Aug and GC is setting up the skew in their system so they can be pre ordered this week or early next. No intentions to mod it cause its small and just about every inch of space is being used inside the chassis.

Is there a new 1x12 cab that goes with the Rebel, or does it use the large 1x12? Also, what speaker comes stock and how does it work for cleans and mild crunch? Not too crazy about the vintage 30 for that, if thats what it comes with...

Thanks,
Retarius

Ya it has it's own 1x12 that is ported and not our oversized 1x12. Loaded with a Celestion CL-80. Sound great!

Bruce or Jeff,

I really like the 5W amps like the Valve Jr or Little Giant, but they seem to be too loud for bedroom/apartment, and sometimes not loud enough for a gig. It sounds like the Rebel should be able to cover both well with the variable power feature. My question is if the Rebel has built-in attenuater or power sink? While I think they can be effective for controlling volume, my experience is a change in tone as volume is reduced below a certain point. Can you comment on how the Rebel tone changes (or if it does) as volume is reduced/increased?

Thanks,
Retarius

No attenuator. It sounds very good at 1 watt. It can get a bit starved when set that low but no amp really sounds great at these very low volumes. It will definatly cover playing out, it really falls on your experience with it at home and if it will sound like you want it to.

I watched the vidoes on Youtube of this amp.......OUTSTANDING. I started playing guitar 25 years ago and have had ALOT of amps. I have been playing bass for the last 6 years though exclusively. A buddy of mine that is an AM at good old GC went to a training and heard the Rebel, turned me on to it......now I have to have one and I think I will break out my old PRS and Jackson and play some guitar again...........I can not wait! Ithink I am going to try to preorder this one ASAP!

As of about a day or so ago it now can be ordered from GC along with the 1x12 and the 2x12.

Thanks for the reply!!!I'm on the paid list :D Hope it don't take to long

You just gave me a great idea. We could design products that are only 90% and then offer the last 10% as a modification....and charge a bunch of money for the mods? Just kidding.....you are welcome to do anything you want to our stuff, Rebel or ???., though we really try to make things the best we can at the time so you don't need to do that, and it will of course affect the warranty if you hack it up. If anyone comes up with real life improvements to our products we would love to hear about it. Always open to suggestions.

There's a 2x12 cab for it too? Sweet...what's it loaded with?

My local GC said the only cabs they show are the 1x12 and 4x12 - no 2x12 unless part of a Tourmaster combo. I was interested in the 2x12 cab, actually.

What is the latest ETA on Rebels and cabs at GCs?

Hi guys--new here.

I am very interested in the Rebel after hearing about it and watching clips.

However, I have a couple questions:

1. I know it's a joint thing with GC (ala the Tourmaster), but is there any way to
circumvent buying one from Guitar Center? Can one purchase it straight from Egnater?
I have my reasons for not wanting to shop at Guitar Center, trust me.

2. If not, does anyone know if a similar product is slated for production by the "new" Egnater?

I am by no means a touring pro and a MOD 50 would simply be overkill for me.

Thanks for any and all help.

You can get the Tourmaster through Musician's Friend. I'd assume you can get the Rebel from them when it comes out as well.

Isn't Musician's Friend owned by GC???

All of the these should be in GCs hopefully by late August. The 2x12 is definitely available and both the 1x12 and 2x12 will be loaded with Egnater Celestion Elite 80s.
