Have they released the firmed up pricing? I've got some stuff to offload before I go crazygonuts on this.

Pretty sure it is stil $599 for the head and $249 for the 1x12. I don't know 2x12 pricing.

Does anyone know when GCs should start getting them?

Would like to know who's carrying the Rebel in Canada...

???

how will the Guitar Center's 2x12 and 1x12 compare to the 2x12 and 1x12 people have been using with the MODs?

Still waiting for the amp to come to the local GC! I am chomping at the bit for this one guys! The tone is going to be just plain sick! I swear I am going to switch from bass back to guitar just due to this amp! It has been a long time since I bought "guitar gear" but this is the one piece that has got me going! Hurry up and ship them Egnater! Woo hoo! Must have........gotta get it...............REBEL!

Hey Jeff!!!!I just read a thread at TGP that you guys had to change the EL84/6V6 tube switch to a blend knob for PAT. reasons as such.Could you fill me/us in on this, as it sounds very coooooooollllllll!!!!!!!

From Bruce himself at TGP!!!!
This is not a compromise at all. I wish I would have thought of the knob design first because it is that much cooler. Yes, the Mesa machine was the deterent and rightfully so. They do have a patent on the cathode method of switching different types of power tubes which is what I had unknowingly violated. Forced me to rethink and "VOILA", a better idea comes. This is all good....except for the minor delay in shipping. We have had a number of very reputable players (who had played the first model) try the new version with the knob. All of them, without exception, said the new version, with the tube mix knob, sounded even better. Trust me, no worries about compromise.

Well, thats just fantastic. The blend knob is surely awesomer.

This does sound like a better idea. Having played the older version, you had to adjust the volume when switching between the tubes and it was an "either/or" configuration. Now with a blend knob there's more versatility. Great job, Bruce! Now I'm extra pumped!

Wow, talk about clever. That turned a potentially bad situation into a real bonus. This makes the amp even more desireable in my opinion. Sure wish I'd start hearing about them showing up at GC soon. I'm down.

Stopped by GC this morning to see if I could find a more knowlegable sales guy, and I did. He was able to pull up the Rebel in their extremely antiquated computer system. I had to pay the whole enchilada up front since that is GCs policy for special orders. He got on the phone and called mission control for GC (?) and they told him I would get the Rebel about 2 weeks before the stores got their general allocation. Sounds like I should see it around the end of August and the stores will get shipments around mid-Sept. That works for me, but going to be a Looooong month! I turn the big 5-0 on the 24th, so will be happy bday to me!!

You just gave me a great idea. We could design products that are only 90% and then offer the last 10% as a modification....and charge a bunch of money for the mods? Just kidding.....you are welcome to do anything you want to our stuff, Rebel or ???., though we really try to make things the best we can at the time so you don't need to do that, and it will of course affect the warranty if you hack it up. If anyone comes up with real life improvements to our products we would love to hear about it. Always open to suggestions.

The ONLY way I could think of improving my MOD50 is switchable reverb (be able to turn it on and off per channel)...not even necessarily adjustable level per channel, just the ability to turn it off...one more button on the footswitch, allow it to be turned off when switching to the gain side, for example (but allow the signal to decay from the prior channel rather than cut off abruptly). Otherwise this amp is as darn near perfect as I can imagine. Just more modules!

+1 for the reverb idea, and a 4 Module mod 50 would kill! :D

You pretty much get a 4 module mod50 with the addition of the e2!

True, but it would be 1 less thing to carry!

So you're saying you'd rather carry a single 80-lb head instead of a 40-lb head and a 10-lb mini head?

Give me a Rebel a 1X12 cabinet and 5 minutes at Home Depot or Lowes.

I'll show you a combo!

Not such a big problem if you want grab and go. Find a couple of threaded inserts and bolt that sucker together!!!

Might be a simplistic view but given the weight of the modules I wouldnt think it would be that much heavier
