I need to do this mod!

As do I. I even have the parts, I just haven't done it

If I do the mod, can I use my GCX to switch the modes? Right now I use the GCX to switch the master/channels, but I'm not sure if it's stereo compatible to do the modes?

I just wish that Hammond or any other manufacturer would make these big sized enclosures colored. The grey looks so DIY and pale, Terry :D

Olaf what did you do so that it sounds so even volume wise between the modes???

I've used the right settings, Joey :D

Pretty cool. I assume that putting more switches in the signal path like that is going to alter the tone just a bit; but not enough to outweigh the convenience of the mod.

It doesn't alter the tone in any way because the switching inside the amp is done with relays and I just parallel the power-supply switching of those relays, their coils actually. No interference with the signal path.

Excellent. Sould any competent amp tech be able to figure out how to do this on their own or would they need to contact you for some sort of schematic?

They all seem pretty even to me when I switch modes?

Can't wait for this to eventually be integrated into a production model....eventually... :D

Not mine, If I set the master to 9:00 and leave the channel 1 volume pot to say 12:00, the volume between the modes is VERY noticable, specially when it jumps to Mega mode.

Volumes and gain of both channels around 1 o'clock. --> room level.
