Einstein reverb problem -solved-

I was going to suggest trying to replace your reverb tube, but I see you did that. I'd try it again with different tube just to be sure.

I am having the same problem. Just started today. Went away on vacation and when I came back, the reverb isn't working. Weird! Also, since I got the amp it's always done the thing where the tone changes as you turn up the reverb. I'll try replacing the V7 tube, though.

Peter, any way to mod the amp to the newer design where the reverb doesn't alter the amp's tone?

If you really need so much reverb send me an
email to peterdiezel (at) diezelamplification (dot) com
Let me know the version number of the big PCB inside.

Thanks,
Peter

Replaced reverb driver tube and it's working now! :) But reverb isn't as strong as before. Probably just the difference between the tubes I was using. I had a Penta 12AT7 in there before and now I'm using a NOS Siemens E81CC. Maybe it's just a lower powered tube. But I have to turn the reverb knob up to like 2:00 or 3:00 to get the same amount of reverb as before at 10:00. Sounds pretty good, though! :)
