Einy Boost needed

I don't think you are going to find a boost that wont add compression in some way unless you don't actually boost the signal level but just clip it. A clean boost boosting the front end will add compression as will most forms of diode clipping. Id recommend a dirt pedal that allows unity gain output.

I'll admit the koko, riot and shiba pedals intrigue me no end! Not sure if I'll get a chance to try em out first though as they are a little rarer than most stores carry in my area. That and dang if thats not expensive, I know I said moneys no object but wow they are pricey.

Yes I was intrigued myself and bought the Koko, Riot and Shiba.
I could not get rid of the Riot soon enough. It sounded like a piece of crap with the einstein. Awful! The Shiba sounded dreadful as well and have it for sale.

The Koko is another story, it is a spectacular pedal!!! I highly suggest you try it out if you can...
