Starting to think about getting rid of my classics while gas is still available.

They probably won't be worth a crock of shit in 25 yrs
And neither will I

Honestly, don't take offence. I'm quite certain there will be a huge classic to electric conversion craze. It'll be a rarity item in the mass production look all the same Tesla future.

BTW it will be sooner than 25 years. Hold on to them for now.

they do rip but only for smaller jobs.

My Father owned a tree service, that was our family business. I grew up in it. 95% of work would be done with a saw this size.
We only busted out the big boys when removing trunks, and stumps. I'm sure we'll see big battery powered chainsaws in no time.

Brushless motors, and lithium batteries can put a spanking on most anything gas powered. Try driving a Tesla if you haven't already, it'll take a super souped up internal combustion to even come close.

Deep cycle batteries ?

LiFePO4 batteries. They can cycle 100% - %0 1000 times. or between 100-80% 2000-4000 times.

Don't even look at lead acid, AGM shit anymore. It's a joke compared to modern LiFePO4.

Also LiFePO4 is safe, it does not turn into napalm like li-ion (cobalt based)

Battery storage at your home is the future, there are a million companies building this stuff. Super competitive, the price will fall in line soon.

All these Grid-tied PV systems you see going on peoples houses will soon be able to add battery for a reasonable cost.

What inverter are you using ?

oh I understand the difference. Battery powered tools are awesome. The age old problem is power storage. From someone who grew up cutting firewood for heat, electric would not be optimal. We just ran saws for so long. My neighbor just dropped a tree, electric would not have worked. He used my stihl off and on for two days. combination of inexperience and the tree being in a bad spot.
