Yep I feel the same way sometimes, wish I had more time to play, but playing guitar is the only thing I have aside from work :scared:

Wish I can post clips soon but tax season is making it impossible! After 4/15 it will be possible :lol: :LOL: Gonna go to bed, have work all day Sunday too :thumbsdown:

Its a American Deluxe Strat w/ a JB Hum in the bridge, one of the best playing strats I have owned. Its the only guitar I haven't sold so far :thumbsup:

So far the Mako Mak2 is complimenting the Elmwood M90 really well when running both in Stereo. The Elmwood has this low end to it that the Mako doesn't have but still retains its clarity and the Mak2 adds this midrange bite to it that makes running both in stereo freaken awesome :rock:

I usually dont find myself using too much gain, but this thing has a ton of gain on tap, I have absolutely no need for a boost pedal with these two amps. This Mako is the Mako Mak2 Black which is based off of the Mako Plex, gets really awesome marshall type tones and has a killer Master Volume which is able to get really good tone at lower volumes. As for the Freak knob, I find myself using it mostly in the 2nd position which adds a little brightness to the tone, I think as you turn the knob right more it voices the amp a little darker. Can get some pretty nice VH type tones out of this thing. Haven't tried the loop yet but there is a control on the front to mix in the amount you want.

I haven't really had enough time with the amp yet to test out all the features, especially since most of my time has gone into the Elmwood :lol: :LOL: But expect a full review when tax season is over :thumbsup:
 
cyndicate, what's your Splawn loaded with?



i've been playing cab dance with my M90 trying to decide what to load my goofy looking cab i've got built for it with, and maybe the day but damned if ain't just killing through Splawn's old Gov/MOW mix. :rock:

Its loaded with Greenbacks, but right now the M90 is going through my V30 loaded Mesa 2x12 and the Mako is going through the Splawn, but I am going to buy another 4x12 in a month or so, maybe a Bogner cab. I haven't really A/B'd the M90 through both cabs yet but will try it later tonight.
 
Looks like there are a few updates to the Mako Mak2 that aren't in this amp. I contacted Andrew and he's goign to update it if I ship it in! Theres a new feature Sub Control that hes going to add that is a footswitchable feature that controls the low end and hes going to update my footswitch too. :thumbsup:

Every time a new Mako is released, there's updates a short time later. I think it would be better to not release amps until they're finalized. Just saying.

Every time a new Mako is released, there's updates a short time later. I think it would be better to not release amps until they're finalized. Just saying.

Well the amp itself is killer already without the updates, Good thing is even though I bought it second hand hes doing the upgrades free of charge if I pay shipping 1 way. Don't know if this is common with other builders?
