Ever had a guitar that needs to “settle in” after a re-string?

I change strings before every show. That’s it. 1 day before. Pull the fuck out of them. Let them sit over night. Retune and that’s it. I have 1 guitar that is hard to get there like the OP says. But it settles in. Maybe the porosity of the neck.
