I think it sounds better not boosted in this video. To me it doesn't need a boost but I generally prefer no boost.sounds good. boosted?
when he's reaching down and clicking, he's hitting it. Definitely doesn't need a boost, lol.sounds good. boosted?
He loves it, but I think that will be it's downfall in having a permanent home in his crazy array of amps. I think he's around 9:00, lol.Does it have any speeds between 0.00 & 100 ?
Gain on crunch and lead channels only on 3-4

What's your take on the JEL25? Jake is one of my favorite players, but I've been using a Jubilee100 to get my jake fix. It gets that wicked pick attack I really dig on the albums. I've been super curious about the JEL100, but it's like unobtanium now.i could only give it a quick listen earlier and couldn't hear what he was saying (held phone to ear in crowded room). I revisited with headphones....sounds really good! apples and oranges, but as much as I want to like the Friedman JEL 25, the Iconic EL34 seems like the better value (at least for what I am into)
I haven’t played a JEL but just haven’t dug the clips. I dig the jubilee much more. Jake said there should be a MIM blue burst coming out. I might pick one of those up!What's your take on the JEL25? not thin, but not massive bass like a Recto or Diezel either. I put a 12AT7 in V1 to tame the gain a bit - will have to make another videoThat’s nuts.
Does it have a thin character to it at all? Like a line 6 or modeler typically does?
When I played a 6L6 iconic combo it was inspiring to play but it sounded toy like. Just thin and not a raging river to be controlled like my mark iii or my XTC.
mine arrived with every single chassis screws super loose - all 6 needed to be tightened downI got one of the 6l6 models in Thursday - I had ordered one last week and the first one arrived with the 5150 nameplate hanging by one screw and the nut was inside the amp so I boxed it right back up and sent it back...ordered another and two days later it was here. Haven't had but a few hours playing on it but really dig it and looking forward to put some time on it tomorrow.

speakers also play a role in the tone, the Iconic def sounds like a 5150 but i don't hear any honky mids as I hate thatI heard a real peaked frequency in the mids, which is kind of the 5150 thing. Makes it a pass for me. You’re never dialing that out effectively.
