I love the Wolfgang pickups IN Wolfgang guitars, if that makes sense.
As far as the Frankie, there are a TON of other folks out there making better pickups for cheaper than nail the tone MUCH better. Scott's (Tone Nerd) stuff runs circles are the EVH Frankie, imho.

I have the EVH Wolfgang pickups in my Fender CS guitars as stock but I am pulling them out one by one when I have time. Not my favourite pickup.

I think that’s the first low output pickup the EVH brand has released. I don’t think any of his signature guitars going back to the EBMM ever had a low output pickup either

I have one in a partscaster and think it's great. Not quite as hot as a JB, but crunchier and clearer. Worth a hoon I reckon

I have the Custom Shop Frankie in a single hum/no tone pot strat. It’s my favorite of 11 other pups I’ve had in there. And I’m not really aiming for EVH tones.

I have a Wolfgang in my Frankie relic. Has anyone tried these in other guitars. I find that even in a basswood body, this pickup is brighter than other guitars. I haven't gotten around to swapping, but wondering if anyone has impressions of this pickup in other guitars?

Crazy price, $219.00. They also have one that is rated around 17K . Haven't seen any reviews, both just released .

Good question. Thanks nickel silver baseplate is a plus. The sticker they use looks like what Gibson uses for their USA pickup. Same with the gray wire

Info just came in from somebody on the Kramer forum , still no confirmation on where it's made but some think in the USA by Gibson.

How much you wanna bet that "Eruption" pickup is what comes installed in the El Cheapo Kramer Baretta Special?? That pickup is indeed a 15K-ish Alnico 5 Humbucker. Just a thought.
