I definitely notice a difference between some of my cables, but I've got too much shit wired up in my rig to warrant upgrading everything so eventually got used to it (and really just turned up my presence knobs).
What wireless unit do you use?I’ve been using Mogami Gold for ages now. Some of them fuckers have been kicking for over a decade. I swear that good cables are an audible difference. I’ve never gone a tier up though, at some point it has to be diminishing returns.
I’m often a straight the amp guy, so what’s a few extra bucks on one killer fucking cable since it is an essentially component?
Gigging though… I’ve been on a wireless for a few years now and can’t ever go back. I jump around and shit too much, play dirt holes where people mosh into the band, etc.
Oh I’m hip to em! They are awesome. I did my home pedalboard with their square plug/2319 cables. I’ll eventually switch out my gig board to the same. Will have to see if they make any longer instrument cables with something in the 15-20pf range. I’m sure they doCheck out "World's Best Cables" on Amazon. Mogami cable with Neutrik connectors for like $30. They're legit. I outfitted most of my studio with their XLRs.
I just want a fresh egg omelet. You can switch cables and get more clarity or you can just buy a James Tyler. Problem solved.
I think "James Tyler's" would make a great name for a breakfast restaurant. Would make Denny's seem like they were just trying to save a few bucks having less letters on the sign. Even "Bob Evans" doesn't have as nice of a ring to it. Its 5:30, do you know where your James Tyler's is?I just want a fresh egg omelet.
Shure GLXD. I have the rack and the pedal tuner version. Not had any issues with them at all. What wireless unit do you use?
I am wirelss too, but the cable that hooks it up to the amp is my trusted mogami with the switchcraftI’ve been using Mogami Gold for ages now. There is nothing wrong with buying high quality equipment. Dont feel embarrassed that others try to make you feel bad. I bought mogami because i got sick of tracing down random cables causing an issue in the pedalboard. It pains me to be the douche making this post I assure you all
I priced out the Mogami's and determined it was just cheaper and easier to throw away my pedal board. There is nothing wrong with buying high quality equipment. Yes worth it...in reverse! Not worth it, but you need to experience the disappointment for yourself to believe it
Monster cables are among the worst cables on the market. Plugging in to them is like turning your guitar's tone control down to 5.Yes worth it...in reverse!
I went from buying Monster Rock cables to Sommer Spirit XXL and Klotz LaGrange, and soldering them myself. 1/3rd of the price for a better cable with more highs (lower pF/ft or pF/m if you're on my side of the Atlantic).
Another nasty thing about the Monster cables are the thick plugs; they don't fit in tight, Japanese Ibanez S540's jack from '97. I mean, she's 24 and all, but still...
