Gary's stage antics are def over the top and he is flamingly homosexual when he performs but off the stage he seems like a cool dude and he doesn't annoy me as much. That said, his voice works for Extreme and I can't imagine another singer. In anything else though, forget about it..

Finally some one said it...I dont give a fuck if hes gay but I dont have to like it either. Nuno is fantastic with the guitar...lots of fun to play with a cover band but its hard to find a song without the gayness in the vocal department lol carry on

Absolutely. WFTP has absolutely sick, raunchy dirt tones it just blows my mind. As for the Gary hate; as far as I know, most of the time I think it has to do mostly with VHIII, which he got wrongly blamed for. That was EVH's fault, Gary just happened to be the new guy.

I wouldn't necessarily agree with this either. Part of what made Freddie Mercury so great was his stage presence. His voice was off the charts but his over the top gayness and the way he owned it just added to the show. Cherone is just a whole different kinda prancing fairy.. I can't stand that move where he folds in on himself, this twisted up squat thing.. looks so brutal and visually, turns me off. He needs to man up a bit. Either go full on gay or keep it in the cock rock masculine vein. No in between. Just commit!

As for the whole homophobia thing, I think it is time gay people get over themselves. Everyone knows a gay person or has one in their family now. Sometimes their antics are over the top, other times they are just like you and me and can be dicks. Nobody cares about who they sleep with or what they prefer. That's right, I just don't care. I have other things to worry about and gay people with chips on their shoulders are just not that important. As a performer, Gary is subject to the same criticism that every other performer is. He's akward and a cheeseball and doesn't have a 1/4 of the stage presence that someone like Freddie or Elton John might have.

Gary was good but not great IMO. No hate. He was lucky to be in the band with Nuno. Nuno made them famous.
