F@#$ your rare....here's rare.

Unicorn level amp. Truly the only guitar related thing I regularly beat myself up for selling... @raiken can confirm the production numbers but I think around 25 total were built. These almost never come up for sale in the public market.....

What’s nuts is if they were gooped they would probably sell for more even tho gooping is inherently evil (imo). Aiken gave more for free to the community than most builders combined. Much respect.

I don’t know much about these things. What kind of amp is it? What makes it cool?

Totally curious why you sold it? I know how life is, but still curious! I was on the forums when these came out and always wanted one but couldn't afford it.. Now I can, but have a museum worth of cool amps already . How good is the gain channel on this?

Why wasn’t production bigger initially by the way?

Also remember orange goop costs more 😁

That amp was the last model produced at the Goergia shop before we shut down and I moved back to SC to look after my parents. It's been over 20 years, so I don't rememer exactly, but we normally bought chassis in 25 piece quantities, so that's probably why.

Orange goop version, $6500.

What are the ‘Aiken Greenback type speakers’? Are they Celestion?

No, those started out as custom order Greenbacky type. speaker we had designed from a speaker manufacturer. I think they later became Warehouse Guitar speakers, or maybe they were always called that, but I could be wrong, it may have been a different company altogether. Anyway, Mojotone started using the same speaker as their BV-25M, and we could buy them from Mojo without having to order large quantities, so we started doing that and put our label on it. I don't recall exactly when we switched to buying from them, but they are excellent sounding speakers. Prior to that, we used Celestions in everything.

Daaamn, 20 years?! I thought it’s quite new.

Do you build something nowadays?

Yeah, orange goop price is about right 😂👍🏻
