So I have the M65s and the discontinued H75 avatar fane models in a cab together.

And fane F70 and redbacks.
I pulled the vintage 30s out of every cab they come in (I might not be breaking them in before hating them I will admit to that)

I really liked the mojotone 25 greenback also it was like one of the olddddd greenbacks. But you can't pummel them with modern tones.

Mojotone has a version of the vintage 30 I want to try also. And the AV60 sounds really cool from avatar.

You mentioned the av75. What I don't want in a speaker is a piercing precense or scratchy high end. Some of the 75 variants can have that compared to their 65 counterparts.

Do you find this with the avatar?
I did some further testing back to back just now. The new AV75 is sweeter in the top than the old Fane variant. That being said, it is a very extended and present high still, making me back off the treble a notch. The M65s are so much more rounded and sweet on the top end but also has this slight muffled or almost wah sound in certain areas I can't place. I do not like the way the 65/75 pair. The scratchiness is brought out more with this pairing surprisingly instead of less.

I am going to keep testing individual speakers and pairings. I think I am going to test the 65 and 75 together with the 60 to see how it goes in a bit.

Definitely a lot more treble and presence with the 75 but a lot of bass as well. The mids are also very present and clean. Testing primarily with a strat w Alnico 3 pickups btw.

@ChuggNorris Did some testing and....

Cannot decide which combination I like best, it is super close between the M65 paired with an AV60 or just the 2 AV75s. The presence and treble are definitely boosted on the AV75 side but the bass tonality is as well. The M65/AV60 combo is very mid heavy but pleasant, as the 60 fills out the M65 a bit more in the right areas. Gives it a bit more sizzle without being over the top. The treble is extended and high but not overbearing.

Again, I could not stand the M65/75 combo, they seemed to fight one another.

If you are already thinking about trying an AV60, you won't be disappointed, as it sounds cool on its own and pairs well with another speaker you already have, may work well with others.

I really can't decide which pairing I like best, guess it's a good thing I am not selling any soon!

Edit: The 65/75 can work better together in an open cab.
