I’ve got quite a few vintage Fane Crescendo’s and used to have also Fane F90’s. Fane’s excel at sounding big and moving a lot of air from their low end and have a lot highs too, but smoother highs (not sharp or sizzly), so that’s all great, but their midrange has this very bland/neutral/smooth sound like Hiwatt’s, Fryette’s and Wizard’s where there’s just no growl or personality in that region. I don’t like that part of them. That being said, the Crescnedo’s I think are still among the best all time speakers. Fane’s also can be weird about what they do and don’t mix well with. Some mixes can sound awkward when you don’t get it right
