On a VH2. I've got 3 LPs. One with Burstbuckers, 1 with Custombuckers, and 1 with a Dimarzio Super 3 in the neck and Super Distortion in the Bridge.
All three sound great, but I like the DiMarzio set the best. It's the warmest of the 3. In the Middle position its killer for warm lower gain and the bridge is a fire breather. Neck fattens up nicely. Roll the volume off and its my clean tone on a dirty channel for those Adam Jones not-so-clean cleans.
The Custombuckers sound better on the neck than the middle for lower gain (I like it warm and wooly), but can also rage on the bridge.
