I've had experience with the Pasadena/Pasadena+, and they are fantastic pickups. I've also had a guitar with a Sunset Strip in the bridge. Also fantastic. That one reminded me somewhat of an Aldrich. Kind of a refined JB. DEFINITELY better than a JB.

I've only heard/read about their super high output pickups being somewhat bright. But, some of that is the woods. My C-1 is bright, but also an ash body.
I find the Strip more balanced than the Aldrich. Amazing pickup for classic retro metal btw.

The Sonic Seducers are pretty much the opposite of what players expect them to be. They are bright, articulate, medium output and far form being extremely tight and super dj0nt metal oriented. Great in a band setting, but not what laptop guitarists are asking for atm
Maybe being in a mahogany body will balance this, but I'm going to play sludge metal with it. I want a more high output PAF style pickup. I'll have to check them out. No clue when the guitar will get here, but I will post about it when I get it, for sure.

Those would fit the bill better, more than likely. I also hear good things about their 78. I wish I had a chance to check it out before buying it to hear them. Maybe I'll stick with Schecter pickups if I do switch them out.

How do you like the Fishmans in that thing?

It's a good sounding pickup, for sure. Great for hair metal, tighter than a JB.

I like the Fishmans. Nice and aggressive. More passive sounding than EMG's, definitely have flavor.
