Yup.. The Neck looks black in the house, but in the bright sunlight you can see it's a 3-piece out of Wenge Wood.. I was worried there would be a tape line where the gloss goes to matte but I can't get a fingernail under it. It's totally smooth transition. I wonder how they did that? The Body is Mahogany with a Maple Top.

The San Andreas Pickups are wide and articulate from what I can tell compared to my Apocalypse. Acoustically, the Apocalypse is warmer where the Elite is brighter, so I guess it's a Metal Machine..

The Tuners have an exposed Gear that I wasn't expecting. I guess they will be fine and the brass looks good against the black Headstock.. The action was way to low for me, so I put my strings on it and raised it up high so the open chords don't buzz. Notes are nice and clear now. The Side Markers glow in the dark because they are bright green after I brought it in out of the Sun..

Looks like a very fine guitar indeed. I'm no fan of faded finishes, but I'd definitely consider a black six stringer.

I'm with you on their fade colors. It's kinda goofy.
But this one is more subtle, so I can live with it.

So it turns out my new hotshit axe is junk..
The fucker won't intonate.. The fretted notes are flat and no amount of fukin' with the Saddles will fix it..
I'm bummed. Schecter was like whatever, return it..
I've come across this issue more than once. It seems to be a nut issue more often than a saddle issue, ime. If the string spacing/nut width aren't exact, these multiscales will never intonate.

Yeah, I got another one next to it. It's like 3/32's difference from the Nut to the 1st fret between the 2 but both guitars are the same scale..
Way off.. :ROFLMAO:
Called Sweetwater and they fought with me a bit, but every question they asked would cause the note to be sharp and not FLAT, you fuckers.. :ROFLMAO:
Got another one on the way..

I hope the replacement works out for you. Is this a World or a Cort built? I ask because it seems to be more prevalent with Cort in the last year or two. I'm not sure if there's an issue on the assembly line or what. It made me return a Cort built Jackson SLAT8 and the replacement had the same issue. Same thing with a short lived Ibanez bass. I ended up replacing/cutting the nut properly and solved it. My particular issue wasn't the nut distance/angle, but the string spacing was too narrow. This shouldn't keep happening. Had the same issue on a 2019 World build, but none of my new ones since.

Appreciate it mang!
But hell if I know. I'm not privy to who actually makes these things..
Maybe this will help..

Congrats man.
Schecter sure delivers a lot of guitar for the money. Very underrated
Enjoy that beast

Edit: didn't catch the follow up post. Good luck the replacement. I've had zero issues.

That sucks. My C-1 Elite is flawless. But, it's got a Floyd, so no nut to worry about. As noted a few posts back, that sounds like a nut issue. I bought a new PRS SE 594, and had the very same issues as OP describes. Not only that, but it was poorly built. Tool marks, gouges, glue, total turd. Nut sat too low, wouldn't intonate, input jack was defective... That was Indonesia/Cortek. World Music has typically been way better in South Korea. Especially Schecters. They're usually top notch.

I have a regular Reaper Multiscale that I've had for a couple years now. I have 11's on it. It's the loudest guitar not lugged in that I have. Really resonant. Plays and intonated great.. The pickups are thick sounding.. Don't sleep on Schecter Pickups!

It just sucks to have your money tied up in the unknown. Now I have to wait and see if the new one will work out.. BTW, Sweetwater has the what? 32 point check before they send out your guitar? I guess that doesn't include checking to see if the fucker plays in tune.. LOL

Over or underrated?

I am shy to ask, but how many guitars do you have? Seems you have a lot of import ones recently referring to our recent conversations :)

Nope. I have 5 Electrics.
I have a Charvel Model V from 88 that was my 1st real guitar. I keep it for sentimental reasons but don't play it's retired.
An Ibanez 7620 from 1999 that I wore out. It's retired.
Schecter C-7 Apacalypse that is a great sounding guitar. I converted it to 1 volume 1 tone so I can run 50's wiring.
A Reaper-7, 50's wiring.
Then the Reaper Elite-7 that is in flux..

55 point inspection!

I don't really know off the top of my head to be perfectly honest. I think around 50-60 and another dozen or so basses(not including husband and kid's collections). Would guess a little over half are Gibsons. Used to be a big FujiGen/Matsumoku fan, but have dwindled that collection mostly and moved onto WMI mainly for my imports after continuously impressing me. I played a lot of 7/8 string in my college gigging days then moved to multiscales around 10+ years ago and haven't looked back. Grew up hanging out/working at my Grandfather's music store in my youth, so gained a lot of brand/manufacturer knowledge early on.

Wow! Some rock star scale collection 🤘🏻

The more you tell, the more interesting it becomes. I would watch a documentary about you even. You need to start a youtube channel 🔥

Gibsons? Now I am surprised, I thought you prefer contemporary guitara more. But I can understand good ol’ LP and Explorer lovers very good hehe

Were 8 strings already a thing during your college days? Because iirc they gained massive popularity and availability around 2010, when I went to college for my first year, and I am a kid by R-T standarts haha
