Waiting for 2 days for a package from Fedex. Been on truck out for delivery for 2 days. yep Truck came at 6:10 this evening and he sits in my driveway and then leaves.
Get a email been delivered with a picture! Not my place in the picture so I scour the neighborhood and surrounding streets. Nothing! Lazy Dumbass workers
dont take no pride in their work.
Hope I can get this fixed.

The post office did that to me with a small package of some parts to fix a dryer. They said it was delivered on a Saturday in the mailbox. It was nowhere to be found, not on the ground or anything. I immediately filed a complaint with the USPS/local office. I had an email later that evening or the next day saying they'd look into it. It was in my mailbox Monday. Even had an email and call Tuesday morning from the local office saying they had talked to the guy and was curious if I had gotten my package the evening before.

This doesn't help you, but yes, delivery people suck. Fed Ex, in my experience, has been FAR superior to USPS and better than UPS. Maybe you can call the local depot and bitch someone out and get that guy written up or fired.

About 4 years ago I was waiting on my EVH 5150 el 34 head. Said that it had been delivered and I was at home. Nowhere to be found and nobody knows shit!
In the end it sat in Charlotte for a fucking week after that! Thanks Fedex. I guess the workers jam on it during breaks and lunch.
Bastards. That was going thru my head at the time :ROFLMAO:
Why ship something in the factory box with its contents right on the outside of the box?

It is my experience that every shipper has its faults. What's more remarkable to me is that more packages aren't delivered. So many pieces of mail everyday that everyone receives.

True I've had bad experiences with them all. FedEx is the worse, they have left packages out in the rain and at the end of the driveway right next to the road for anyone to just come by and load up.

My wife has about 100 packages come to the home for Christmas time and she was throwing something away when she got out of her car and found a bunch of FedEx packages in the can. Wtf. All in the garbage can. I had to put a big sign on the garbage cans… “FedEx dont throw our packages away please”. Later the UPS guy shows up and I asked him. He said oh yeah that’s a thing. People use the garbage cans as a home drop off spot. Didn’t blink an eye. Just thought it was normal. And I know the guy so he was blowing smoke up my ass.

Without sounding like a complete old man, every one working seems to be super lazy now. When I go somewhere and the person is funny or nice or helpful, I give them a great tip or commend them, etc.

I went to Guitar Center yesterday and was selling some stuff and got to talking to this guy about bands and guitars. Had such a great time and he was so helpful. It was so great!

I've had two amps and one new Marshall 4x12 cab damaged by UPS in the last 1-2 years.

One amp is a '76 Fender Super Twin, survived in great shape all its life until UPS had it a few days, luckily it still works, but they clearly dropped the well-packed box from a good height - the box showed little sign of damage, inside the right side of the amp was cracked from the top of the amp, through the tolex.

FedEx has trouble keeping a delivery date, it changes at least 2-3 times per delivery...and their tracking page contradicts itself, e.g., it says scheduled for delivery today, 12/12/2024, but it hasn't reached the local distribution center, hasn't been loaded on a truck, or out for delivery. Now sometimes (rare) it gets delivered, other times you get an update in the evening saying the delivery date will be provided...next morning repeat, and maybe again.

FedEx also had a package that I had to sign for and two days they said I wasn't home (I was), on the second day I was on my way to pickup kids from school and saw the FedEx truck and stopped...wouldn't you know my package was in the truck. I was nice to get my package, driver tried to make up some excuse that made no sense...got the amp, no damage. Blatant liar driver.

other issues with USPS too...

it's a roll of the die around here: will it arrive as scheduled, and will it be damaged, and how badly. SMH

Totally not gear related, but I ordered an alternator from Rock Auto. The part is in a warehouse in Ohio. I'm in Ohio. Part shipped via FedEx on Friday, and I should have had it yesterday (Saturday). It is now in Keasbey, NJ. Go freakin' figure. FedEx really does suck.

Same. I'm waiting on FedEx now too. Sweetwater is only a state over, and my delivery date was supposed to be yesterday. They claim it's coming tomorrow now.

My buddy is waiting on a package from them, and he's on day 20.

Hopefully it didn't have to go through Twinsburg. That location is completely fucked. I've had to drive out there too many times.

I remember years ago when I was going to work for the USPS, just in a sorting facility. My friend did it and made good money, so I was going to try it. I scored off the charts on the typing and tests they gave, finished the assignments before anyone else in the room and nailed it. They were like yeah, we want to give you another callback or whatever, here, provide us with so and so information. They wanted to know literally everything about me. Anywhere I had ever worked, how long I was there, etc etc etc, and this was for just sorting letters so they went to the right local post offices. They said if you don't remember exact dates and all, you can go to the local library or whatever and ask for records, blah blah blah. So needless to say, they were trying to vet everyone to the nth degree. That was back in like 2004 or so.

Now they must hire the laziest, dumbest fucks that they can even get to come in and apply for delivering and touching the actual mail. Having owned a bread route for many years, I'd see the Fed Ex and UPS guys on a daily basis and they were running a hundred miles an hour, but they were delivering packages and letters to the grocery stores and other stores I was in. They don't even have to load their own trucks. They always seem to get started late as shit compared to other people in delivery gigs and always have to hit the businesses first and are all worn out and tired before they even start hitting houses.

If people would stop shopping online and go to actual stores like they used to it wouldn't be so bad but it's never going to get any better unless Trump outlaws online marketplaces for everyday items and makes them only for used items like it used to be.

UPDATE

A stranger pulls up in my driveway this afternoon. Gets out my package from out the back of his car. He lives 2 miles away from me and was kind enough to bring my package to me. The Dumbass FedEx driver dropped it off at his house.
Sad thing was it was raining, and he slipped off the steps of my front porch and twisted his knee. He looks old enough to be retired.
He had to rest a few minutes before he could leave. I ask him if he was ok and he said he was and that he had surgery back in may on his knee .
I thanked him again for bringing my package and ask him if there was anything I could do for him.

THANKS FEDEX !

Glad it showed up and I hope the awesome stranger is okay.

Am I the only one thinking he may sue you for injury? Hope he doesn’t.

Fedex did the same shit here and stole a $2000 laptop we had ordered

It was "signed for" by someone who doesn't even work here

Luckily Dell refunded us but someone got a pimp laptop for free
